YSC Selling an ASH Membership in Personify
Overview
American Specialty Health (ASH) is a national health and wellness organization that provides memberships to employer groups, insurance carriers, trust funds, and health plans.
In the partnership with the YMCA of Silicon Valley, ASH is providing membership to their Medicare Advantage network through Active & Fit and Silver & Fit.
Active & Fit and Silver & Fit are for individual Adults only. Each adult needs to have their own ASH Fitness ID.
ASH memberships are NOT HIPAA memberships. Think of them like Wellhub and Fit On Health.
Front Desk Responsibility
Right now, only the YSC can sell ASH memberships.
Front Desk Steps:
- Add the person and all their information into Personify
- If the membership director approves, you can sell the person a 7-day trial in Personify
- Send in a ticket for the YSC to sell the Active & Fit or Silver & Fit membership. In the ticket, include the person's "Fitness ID"
- The YSC will verify the person's eligibility, sell their membership in Personify, and send them a welcome email.
YSC Verifying Participant Eligibility
At this time, only the YSC is able to verify participant eligibility information. Read above in the Front Desk Responsibility section to learn how to proceed.
- Go to https://www.ashlink.com
- Click Login on the top right corner
- Use your branch username, password, and PIN to log in to
- Confirm that the name of your branch is visible in the top right of the page
- Click on the Member Management Tab
- Click on Member Eligibility Search
- Enter either:
- The person's full legal first name, last name, and date of birth
- Or the person's Fitness ID number
- If the person is located in ASH's database, click on the magnifying glass
- If the member is eligible sell the membership in Personify. Directions are here.
- If a member is ineligible or cannot be found:
- If they cannot be found, then search for the person using the other search option. Either First Name, Last Name & Date of Birth. OR search using their ASH Fitness ID.
- If you have searched using both options and they still cannot be found or are shown as ineligible, inform them nicely. Provide the AshLink contact information to the Member so they can join ASH or inquire why they aren't found: 800-848-3555
YSC Selling an ASH Membership in Personify
At this time, only the YSC is able to sell ASH memberships. Read above in the Front Desk Responsibility section to learn how to proceed.
- The individual must be showing "Eligible" in ASH's database. See above "Verify Participant Eligibility" directions if needed.
- Make Me a Member
- Package Subsystem
- Individual membership (no family memberships)
- Draft Card: Leave Blank
- Payment Date: Leave Blank
- Click 'Continue to Order Entry'
- On the left, check the boxes for lines 2 & 3 (The Enrollment and Membership Dues lines)
- From the above 'Work with Selected Lines' drop-down, select "Make Program Decisions" and "Go."
- Select 'Apply Discounts and Coupons
- Market Code: Click the Advanced box
- Description: Type the word 'ash' and click search.
- Double-click the appropriate Market Code:
- MBRG-ASHAF: ASH Active & Fit Member
- MBRG-ASHSF: ASH Silver & Fit Member
- This will have added the Market Code to both the Enrollment Line and the Membership Dues Line
- Save
- Balance Due= $O
- Exit out of the Tab, go back to the Profile Summary page, and refresh
- In the Profile Info Tab, choose 'Demographics'
- Scroll down to the Custom Demographic section and '+New Custom Demographic'
- Add the Demographic code 'Member Partner ID.'
- Enter just the ID number with no spaces and no words.
- This number can be found in ASH's database:
- Save
- Done!
Nationwide- ASH Memberships
YES Active & Fit and Silver & Fit members CAN use Nationwide.
