Afterschool/Childcare Program Change & Cancelation Request Policy – YMCA of Silicon Valley

Change and cancelation requests require a two week notice. Requests can be emailed directly to the Site Director or YDSupport (ydsupport@ymcasv.org)

For billing purposes, the new reduced program schedule billing will start two weeks from the request date. Any overpayment of fees will be refunded.
- For example, if the request was received on January 1, the new billing will take effect on January 15 and any overpayment of fees from January 15-30 will be refunded.
Participant(s) is allowed to stop attending the day(s) they drop immediately, and do not have to wait for the two weeks effective date.

Requires Site Director approval before processing this change request.
For billing purposes, the new program schedule billing will start two weeks from the request date. Prorated fees for the additional days will be charged at the time of processing the request.
- For example, if the request was received on February 1, the new billing will take effect on February 15 and any prorated fees for attending the additional days from February 15-28 will be charged at the time of processing.
Participant(s) will have to wait until the 2 week notice effective date to attend the additional days.
- For example, if the request was received on February 1, the two week notice effective date is February 15.

Two week written notice is required for processing the request. The participant's effective last day at program will be two weeks from the request date.
- For example, if the request was received on March 1, the effective last day at program is March 14
Request to Cancel should be sent to ydsupport@ymcasv.org.
Any overpayment of fees will be refunded and any prorated outstanding fees will be charged at the time of processing.
Participant(s) will not have to wait until the two week notice effective date to stop attending the program, but any prorated fees will still be charged.
Site Directors should be made aware of the cancelation request if the request did not come directly from the Site Director.
